Z House is a very exclusive house, located on the eastern coastline of Jutland, Denmark. Z House is designed for a family of two parents and four children. The minimalistic Z-shape of the house is a simple geometrical shape that solves all challenges in the project. Z House is a three level house with great outdoor terraces in 2 different levels. The unique view towards the sea is enhanced both from the living rooms and from the outdoor terraces. Ramps lead from the surrounding garden to the indoor areas. The basement includes garage, storage, wine cellar, game rooms, bathrooms and a large indoor swimming-pool area with direct access to the garden. Plan 0 includes the main entrance hall, a utility room, bedrooms, bathrooms, an open kitchen and a large living room with direct access to the lowest roof terrace. The top floor includes master bathroom, master bedroom with walk-in closet and a smaller living room with a fireplace. The top floor has a unique panoramic view towards the sea and access to the top roof terrace surrounded by a hedge of bamboo. In the central part of the house a large wall painting underlines the triple high entrance hall creating a great vertical connection through the house.

“ARKITEKTENS HJEM” SEASON 2 THURSDAYS AT 8.30PM ON “DR K”

hjemmeside

- Kim Herforth - Eventyrlig arkitektur over hele verden
- Knud Holscher - Mr. Danish Design
- Nini Leimand - Ny nøgternhed
- Michael Christensen - Usentimental miljøbevidsthed
- Mette Lange - Enkelhed, enkelhed og enkelhed
- Morten Schmidt - Arkitektens arbejde er en balancegang
- Og de unge herrer bag ADEPT - A band of brothers

SOLAR ENERGY LAMP

energy-flower-board-1

The solar energy lamp is a multifunctional and social design for urban environments. The leaves of the flower have solar panels and can be turned towards the best sun position. The lamp produces its own energy and becomes a street light at night. The solar energy is also used to recharge electronic devices such as cell phones and laptops. The root structures serve as benches. Day and night people meet by the energy flower to relax and to recharge their electronic devices. In this way the non-social activity such as speaking on the phone is turned into a social act. People who recharge their cell phones by the energy flower show other citizens that they care about the environment. The solar energy lamp proves that sustainable and high-tech design can be beautiful. The flower as a motive stands in contrast to the urban environment and symbolizes something peaceful and poetic.
